What Are Serving Teams?
One of our core values in Chi Alpha is servant-leadership. Servant-leadership is a practice that places the good of those led and their progressive maturity over the self-interest of the leader. It shares power and status for the sake of the common good of each individual and the community. Its chief motive is to serve-first, as opposed to lead-first.
If you call Chi Alpha home, there are several ways you can give back to the group through serving on a team! Aside from our core group leaders and executive board roles, there are many ways that anyone in Chi Alpha can get plugged into helping! Opportunities include: serving on our Tech Team for sound and slides, helping set the tables and after party snacks up in the Monday Night Gathering room with Hospitality team, leading worship on Worship Team, setting up the room on Mondays with our Set-Up + Tear Down Team, greeting people on Mondays with the Welcome Team, serving on our Prayer Team, helping take photos or create content on out Media Team, or being a part of our pre-service prayer each Monday @ 7PM . We also have a facet of our ministry called Community Builders that helps facilitate and put on our general events throughout the school year. These sign-up forms will help us to know how you would like to serve your community and we will get in contact with you as soon as possible!
Tech Team
The Tech Team is responsible for running the slides for the service and to operate the sound board on Monday nights.
Hospitality Team
Worship Team
The Worship Team is responsible for helping set the atmosphere of worship through musical gifting and talent to glorify God during Monday Night gatherings.
Set Up + Tear-Down Team
The Set-Up + Tear-Down Team is responsible for helping transport gear from outside of Reeve Union into our Monday night gathering space and getting set up for the evening alongside getting the place cleared and gear packed up after service.
Welcome Team
The Welcome Team is responsible for inviting people into our Monday Night gathering space and getting students to fill out the attendance cards before they come into the room.
Prayer Team
The Prayer Team is responsible for helping pray over students throughout the night, specifically during times of worship or when asked to pray for others.
Media Team
The Media Team is responsible for capturing photos for our ministry and helping create video content for our social media.
Community Builders Team
The Community Builders Team is responsible to create and facilitate fun opportunities to grow closer as a community through general events.
